• Penn Station’s “summer of hell” is expected to return after Amtrak announced $50 million worth of repairs that will affect service.

IN QUEENS
• A pair of volunteers found a gun inside a plastic bag while collecting trash along the Astoria Park shoreline.

• A motorist died at a Flushing hospital after he jumped off the Bronx-Whitestone Bridge.

• A report by the International Air Transport Association shows that JFK Airport is no longer among the world’s 20 busiest airport.

• The Knicks (28-53) fell to the Cavaliers in their final home game, 123-109.

• The Nets (28-53) topped the Chicago Bulls, 114-105.

• The Yankees (5-5) head to Boston to begin a three-game series against the Red Sox. First pitch at 7:10 p.m.

• The Mets (8-1) continue their fast start with a win against the Marlins, 4-2. They face the Marlins again at 7:10 p.m.

ENTERTAINMENT
• Former “Silicon Valley” star T.J. Miller was busted for drunkenly calling in a fake bomb threat on an Amtrak train.

• Seth Meyers and his wife welcomed their second child, who was born in the lobby of their apartment.

• Bill Cosby’s lawyer slammed an accuser as a “con-artist” in the opening statements of Cosby’s retrial in Philadelphia.

WHAT’S ON TV TONIGHT
• The Flash (CW, 8PM) – Barry and Ralph take different approaches to finding the remaining bus metas before DeVoe gets to them. However, Ralph’s cavalier attitude frustrates Barry and the two clash over what it means to be a hero.

• The Middle (ABC, 8:30PM) – Frankie is surprised but relieved when Dr. Goodwin agrees to buy all of the peanut brittle that Brick needs to sell for school. But the good doctor displays a bit of Mr. Hyde behavior when Frankie doesn’t deliver the product in an expeditious manner.

• New Girl (FOX, 9:30PM) – The Season 7 premiere picks up about three years after the end of Season 6 with Jess and Nick returning from a European book tour for “The Pepperwood Chronicles.”

• NETFLIX: The Lost Boys – After moving to a new town, two brothers discover that the area is a haven for vampires.

• Instagram is rolling out a new portrait mode feature that blurs out the background to provide a professional photography look.
