Weekend Crime Roundup
• On Friday night, police responded to a report of an assault at 438 Beach 40th Street in Edgemere. Cops found 18-year-old James Scott with a gunshot wound to the chest and legs. A 25-year-old was shot in the head. Scott was taken to St. John’s Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The 25-year-old victim was taken to Jamaica Hospital in critical condition. There are no arrests and the investigation is ongoing.
