Queens News
• The city plans to build two elementary schools that will serve nearly 1,200 students by 2021 in Hunters Point.

• A court order shut down a Jackson Heights beauty spa due to prostitution and unlicensed massages.

• A new hotel that will evoke the style of air travel in the 1960’s is being built at an old JFK Airport terminal.

• Some northbound R trains are stopping along the Q line 57 St-7Av to Lexington Av/63 St and then along the F line to 36 St-QNS.

• Some northbound N and W trains are stopping along the Q line from 57 St-7 Av to 96 St and end. Expect delays in F, N, Q, R and W train service.

• The Yankees are moving on! The Bronx Bombers overcame a 2-0 series deficit, topping the Indians, 5-2, to advance in the MLB playoffs.

• The Islanders (1-2-1) fell to the Anaheim Ducks, 3-2.

• The Nets fell to the 76ers, 133-114, in the last preseason game of the year.

• The Rangers (1-3) are in Columbus to take on the Blue Jackets at 7 p.m.

• The Knicks are taking on the Wizards in a pre-season matchup at 7:30 p.m.

• The Eagles and the Panthers are facing-off in Thursday Night Football on NBC at 8:25 p.m.
