• The popular “guy with the straightener at the Queens Center Mall” announced his departure after working there for 13 years.

Subway Status 
• No M trains between Myrtle Av and Metropolitan Av

Due to switch problems at Astoria-Ditmars Blvd, the following service changes are in effect:

• N and W trains are running with delays in both directions.

• Some northbound N trains terminate at Queensboro Plaza.

• Northbound W trains are running on the Q line from 57 St-7 Av to 96 St.

• Accident on I-495 westbound at Exit 27 – Clearview Expwy I-295 / Throgs Neck Bridge left lane blocked.

• Delays on I-678 northbound between Linden Blvd and Exit 8 – Main St until further notice.

• Delays on I-278 eastbound between Exit 30 – Flushing Ave and Queens-Kings County Line; Koskuisko Bridge.

• Delays on I-278 eastbound between 59th St and Exit – 38th St; Sunset Park Industrial Park.

• The Mets (54-69) fell to the Diamondbacks, 3-2. They face the D-Backs again at Citi Field at 7:10 p.m.

• The New York Giants lost to the Cleveland Browns in a preseason match, 10-6.
