• A Queens man who strangled and his his grandmother’s body was sentenced to five to 15 years in prison.

• A teacher at a Rego Park elementary school reported a man recording her through a school window while she used the restroom.

• The City sprayed for mosquitoes in Howard Beach and Hamilton Beach after receiving numerous complaints from residents.

Subway Status 
• 4 and 5 train service has resumed after an earlier incident involving a train with mechanical problems at 86 St.

• 34 St bound 7 trains are running with delays due to ongoing signal problems at Vernon Blvd-Jackson Av.

• Southbound R trains are running express from Atlantic Av-Barclays Ctr to 36 St (Bklyn), because of a person struck by a train at Union St. Expect delays to D, N and R train service.
