• Police said a faulty lock led to the fatal fall of a 5-year-old in Corona.

• Over 800 motorcyclists rode from Resorts World Casino to Midtown Manhattan in honor of 9/11 victims.

Subway Status 
• 6 and Express 6 train service has resumed after an earlier incident involving a train with mechanical problems at 3 Av-138 St.

• No M trains between Myrtle-Wyckoff Av and Myrtle Av (Broadway).

• Some Broad St bound J trains are terminating at Chambers St due to switch problems at Broad St.

• Misplaced tractor trailer on Belt System – Cross Island Pkwy southbound just past Exit 27 – Jamaica Ave (Hempstead) partial ramp blocked until further notice.

• Disabled truck on I-278 eastbound approaching Exit 28A – Old Fulton St; Cadman Plaza West (New York) left lane blocked.

• Delays on I-278 eastbound between Exit 24 – NY 27; Prospect Expwy Exit and Exit 28B – Brooklyn Bridge.

• The Yankees (77-65) beat the Rangers by a 16-7 final. They’re hosting the Rays at 7:10 p.m.

• The Giants (0-1) opened their season with a 16-3 loss to the Cowboys in Texas.
