• The Dow Jones industrial average dropped more than 800 points as concerns over rising interest rates increased.

• A father was slashed in the face by a stranger while he was walking with his 1-year-old son in the Bronx.

Queens News
• A woman dragged out a knife-wielding mugger who attempted to grab her purse in a Jackson Heights apartment lobby.

• Two correction officers were among seven people charged in connection to a drug smuggling scheme in city prisons.

• The Ridgewood Reservoir was added to the National Register of Historic Places.

Subway Status 
• There is no 4 train service between Atlantic Av-Barclays Ctr and Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall in both directions.

• Northbound 5 trains are stopping along the 2 line from Nevins St and 149 St-Grand Concourse. These service changes are because of FDNY activity at Borough Hall. Expect delays in 2, 3, 4 and 5 train service. As an alternative customers are advised to use 2, 3, B, D, N, Q and R train service.

Traffic 
• Delays on I-278 westbound between Exit 35 – I-495 Long Island Expwy and Metropolitan Ave; Williamsburg Bridge.

• Delays on I-495 eastbound between Exit 19 – Woodhaven Blvd / Queens Blvd and Exit 31 – Cross Island Pkwy.

• Delays on I-678 northbound between Belt System – Southern Pkwy and Exit 8 – Main St.

• Delays on I-278 eastbound between Metropolitan Ave; Williamsburg Bridge and Queens-Kings County Line; Koskuisko Bridge.

• Collapsed Sewer Grate on I-278 westbound at Division Ave right lane blocked until further notice.

• Accident on I-278 westbound approaching Exit 24 – NY 27; Prospect Expwy 1 lane blocked.

• The Nets (19-37) fell to the Pistons, 115-106.

• The Rangers (25-24-5) were crushed by the Bruins, 6-1.

• St. John’s did it again! Fresh off an upset of fourth-ranked Duke, the Red Storm (12-13) knocked off top-ranked Villanova, 79-75.

• The Prozingis-less Knicks (23-32) host the Toronto Raptors at 7:30 p.m.

• The Islanders (26-22-6) are in Buffalo for a 7 p.m. meeting with the Sabres.
